You have a charming pool house in the back of my house with all of the amenities necessary to enjoy your stay. You have your own private entrance with two twin beds (one pulls out and they can be put together to make a king bed), TV, Wi-Fi, access to beautiful outdoor seating , the kitchenette has a sink, refrigerator with separate freezer, coffee & espresso maker, toaster oven and microwave, filtered water dispenser, but no full kitchen. Washer/dryer and access to my bikes, boogie boards & skateboards! The shower/bathroom is located outside in a fenced-in area with a surf board door. I will provide the basics: shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hair dryer. It's 1.5 miles from Venice Beach. 30 minute walk or a 15 minute bike ride to the beach. 20 minute walk away from Abbot Kinney Blvd with all its famous restaurants and shops! 15 minutes by car to LAX airport. It's the perfect distance to the beach because it's not too far but not too close because the beach can be noisy, crowded and have no parking! Here there is plenty of street parking and it is very quiet... The city bus stops on the corner. It's walking distance (2 blocks) to a large grocery store and a health food store. There are also a bunch of great restaurants within walking distance: Pitfire Pizza, Tamara's Tamales, Celadon Thai, and many more... Venice, Marina del Rey, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Malibu, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, all these areas are close by and accessible!

Venice is an amazing neighborhood! I've lived here for 15 years. There is something for everyone here. There's a beautiful beach and an entertaining boardwalk to walk along. There are excellent restaurants and cool shops to visit on Abbot Kinney Blvd. And best of all, everything is close by, so you can use one of my bicycles or simply walk to where you want to go. So you don't always need to use a car when you're staying in certain neighborhoods in Los Angeles!

A bit further into SM you can head to Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, Ocean Drive, all types of restaurants and cuisines, yoga studios, beaches, and surfing. You can also fair the traffic and Uber/drive inland to Hollywood to see the famous sights like The Getty Museum, the Hollywood sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame, the wax museums, all the unusual and amazing theater and art of Los Angeles! Or go the opposite direction to the Malibu beaches, surfing, wine tasting, hiking, beach sunsets, and take the ferry to Catalina Island, drive to Santa Barbara, Anaheim (Disneyland), Big Bear, Big Sur, and even Las Vegas! Also, anything you may need quickly that I might not have, we have a very cute neighborhood corner store, Marine Market, less than two blocks away, at Marine & 7th! It is furnished with some mid-century modern and vintage pieces and has 4 windows and two doors to give it lots of light and air. It is extremely clean with allergy covers on the mattress and pillows. The location is in a safe neighborhood on a cul-de-sac with plenty of free street parking. From the guest house, you can walk or bike to almost all the tourist activities in Santa Monica and Venice. Santa Monica is such a great place to live in and I'm so happy to be able to share the experience with my fellow travelers. I am about a mile from the Santa Monica airport so there can be noise from small planes during the day but mostly on the weekends. I haven't gotten any complaints from guests about it but thought I should have full disclosure.
