Our 1800's homestead was a stop on the Underground Railroad & a land grant to a Revolutionary War Veteran. The cottage is surrounded on 2 sides with a deck that overlooks the pond and the bike trail. Within 15 minutes of Yellow Springs and Cedarville and thirty minutes of Dayton, Wilmington and Springfield.

Explore Cowan Lake WEC and Amish stores and bakeries all within minutes from this historic Schoolhouse and picturesque setting. This 1882 Rural Schoolhouse is sitting on an acre of the original land. It includes a newly built 29 x 24 Hemlock sided closed pavilion with outside entities. Includes a park like charcoal grill, a gas grill , horseshoes court and corn hole boards. Pet friendly, 2 dog limit & well behaved in house. We ask that you crate your dogs if they are to be left unattended.

The Homestead is an excellent place to relax & entertain your whole family and friends (up to 10 People). The extra large deck overlooks 150 Acres of fields, private wetland, and pond where you can fully relax & enjoy the farm experience. Newly remodeled cottage nestled in the trees features all the comforts of your home in the middle of paradise. Located with direct access to Lake Cowan this cottage is also located within walking distance to the main south beach, hiking trails, great fishing holes and numerous picnic pavilions. As for taking in the local activities the Cowan Sailing club, Cowan State Park and World Equestrian Center are all located less than 5 minutes drive.
