Charming Hillside Country Home

This beautiful mid-century house was designed and built by my father. My husband’s parents, Amy and Bob, bought it from my parents’ estate and renovated it. It is filled with light, books and original art. Being inside feels like being outside. It is furnished much as it was when my in-laws moved out, with many of Amy’s paintings. It is not a new or fancy house, but it is authentic and quite a splendid example of mid-century architecture! I hope that you love it as much as I love to share it!

Cathy's Little Farm loft is a 500 sq ft apartment inside a storage barn on a wooded country acre. Fully appointed two story space offers peace and quiet. It is located close to I57, Walmart, Community College, Airport, Fair Grounds, National Guard Training Center, 15 minutes from Olivet, 60 miles south of Chicago. King size bed and twin size sofa sleeper upstairs, full size sleeper sofa in living room. Well equipped full size kitchen and laundry. Large lawn, gardens, and chickens to enjoy.

Rensselaer's unique art scene is renowned; check out over two dozen murals that grace our revitalized downtown. Play disc golf at Brookside Park-we have discs for guests' use! Our listing fee is what it is-no separate "cleaning fee." We'll always leave you with homebaked goodies, & make sure there are farm fresh eggs in the fridge. The address to the apartment is 104 E. Washington ST. From Washington St., go thru the black door next to Yanni's restaurant. Go up the stairs and the apartment is on your right. You will see an AirBNB sticker above the door. I will send a code to access the apartment the day of your arrival. Please note, Parking is prohibited on Washington St. from 2AM-4AM. You can park at the Earl Schroffner museum. Their address is 122 N. Dixie Hwy, which is 1 block North of the apartment.
