Historic downtown Manistee is 8 blocks to the north, well within walking distance. Known as the "Victorian Port City" Manistee boasts many victorian homes from the turn of the century lumber barons. The Manistee River runs through downtown , and, if you're fortunate, you can observe Great Lakes vessels inbound to unload bulk cargoes. A great place for vacationing

The Old Manistee Lighthouse

This was the original lighthouse in Manistee Michigan. Originally built in 1873, it was later converted to the bunkhouse for the coast guard. The home was moved twice and now resides on a spacious triple lot on a dead end block. Very tastefully remodeled with very nice updates without losing the historical accents like the original bunk beds and the table and chairs from a ship in 1930. Walking distance to the beautiful beach and to downtown Manistee. All proceeds used to replace the light.

Excellent lighting throughout plus the main living areas face south providing good natural light for living areas.
