The Acadia NP Visitor Center, the start of the Park Loop Rd & our downtown village are within 2 to 5 miles. Drive into Acadia or to the village for more dining, shopping, and excursions. From late June to mid Oct, the free Island Explorer shuttle is an easy option.

With over 800 ft. of shorefront, 3000 ft. of old railroad bed, and 40 acres of woodland, you'll never have to leave the property to enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine coast. We are the Black Friar Inn and Pub, the Skylight room has a big skylight which overlooks our sunny yellow room with a queen bed. Enjoy those Bar Harbor starlit nights from this rooftop room. En Suite Bathroom has a shower. Breakfast is included with the room. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor. One dedicated parking spot, Fridge & WI-FI. Located on the third floor.

Red Oak, Maples Inn

Red Oak is nestled at the top of our Bar Harbor bed and breakfast, and features its own private “tree house” deck.
