One large room for rent in a house on a quiet East Somerville street. The bedroom and the full bathroom are on the second floor, there is a half bath on the first floor.
Perfect spot to visit MIT, Harvard, BU, or any of Boston and Cambridge! The space is located in the garden level of our home with its own separate, private entrance and a private full bathroom! The room comes with a flat screen TV w/cable (Sho-time and HBO), Wi-Fi, microwave, toaster, and refrigerator. NOTE: There is NO kitchen- no stove, oven, or sink. Think of it more as an enhanced hotel room. You will have a very nice, clean room, comfortable bed, and, of course, clean sheets and towels! Enjoy being in the heart of Cambridge! This Central Square house is located 5 walking minutes from the Red Line and many bus lines. Easy access to Harvard, MIT, BU, Downtown Boston, Mass. General Hospital, TD Garden (for all concerts, hockey, and basketball games!), and Fenway Park! In the neighborhood you will find a Star Market, two Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, a grocery Coop, countless independent coffee shops, book stores, and restaurants. Shopping is just a short distance to Harvard Square, Newbury Street or Copley Mall. We are also only 4 blocks away from The Middle East restaurant and concert venue. If you need parking, just let us know in advance. Parking in Boston and Cambridge is not easy, so we definitely need to have a heads up! We have a visitor pass for any stays 3 days or less, so that is super easy, but over three days requires approval from the city of Cambridge. Or you can park in the garage up the street. If it's your first time to Boston, we would be more than happy to help you navigate your way! There is a dog who lives upstairs. He does not go downstairs, however, so you can be confident of that! Please take note of a the check in and check out times. I would love to be flexible, but I have to know in advance your desired times. I cannot accommodate them always, but would love to try! I too often have guests arriving the same day as guests are leaving. The most common question we get is "what's the internet password?" It's in the house manual, so you don't have to wait for me to answer you to get online :) Also, I try to contact everyone days before they arrive about keys and precise directions But I have guests coming and going almost every day, so please try your best to contact me for this information. Particularly if you are an international traveler, because calling costs are expensive! Please read the House Manual once your reservation is complete. It contains instructions on getting the key and specific directions to the room since you do NOT access the room through my home; it has a separate entrance. I know there is A LOT of info, but it's a house not a hotel :) Please try to read through it all, because it is really all important info to make your stay and travel experience go as smooth as possible. Enjoy a huge, clean, private room with its own entrance and private bathroom. Unbeatable location. Cable TV, WiFi, coffee maker, electric kettle, refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven. I rarely meet the guests, as their room and bathroom is on a different level than my regular living quarters. I always inform the guests if I do have to enter "their rented space" (sometimes i need something from the storage room), but mostly, unless a guest would like to meet me, i allow them to enjoy their time and space privately. I am always home upstairs; however, in case they need anything (and because I live there :) ). It's very quiet, but only a 5 minute walk from everything you could need in Central Square. The convenience is unbeatable. The house is located next to one of Cambridge's public gardens, and in the summer time it is absolutely beautiful. The Red Line, Boston's best subway line, is only a 5 minute walk away. The #1 Bus is also only a 5 minute walk away, and the #47 bus, which takes you down by Fenway Park, stops only a one minute walk away!
