Oak Framed Home with Countryside Views & Hot Tub

Get back in touch with nature at this luxury cabin nestled in a quiet hamlet. Find tranquility on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views, or lounge amid thoughtful decor and chic modern finishes in the exposed oak beam interior. Blue Vale is brand new as of June 2018! We helped to design this green oak framed building and have been involved in the whole process of building it, doing much of it ourselves. For our colour scheme we have used different shades of blue throughout, playing on the name of Blue Vale. The furnishing and finishing touches are of a high standard to help promote a comfortable and luxurious finish. There is an eclectic style combining modern country with industrial finishes. Luxury, high thread cotton bedding and towels, large flat screen smart tv's and luxury Neals Yard toiletries help to give the top-end finishing touches we would appreciate if we stayed away from home. Blue Vale is completely self contained but sits in the grounds of our family home. The decked outdoor living space is screened by trellis on the garden side with fields on the other. You would be very welcome to walk around our garden. We can be as interactive as you wish. With living in the same grounds we are close at hand if needed. We will welcome you when you arrive but will be respectful of your privacy. The glorious Blackmore Vale landscape is a tapestry of farmed green fields with a sprinkling of English villages, of which Sandley is one. Walk out (or cycle, using our available bikes) onto country lanes and venture along a web of footpaths to discover this unspoilt part of Dorset. Visit Stourhead, stroll around the ancient towns of Sherborne or Shaftesbury or discover the beautiful Jurassic coast. Visit Longleat safari park, Haynes Motor Museum, Monkey world & Yeovilton Air Museum. Sandley is a quiet hamlet with the neighbouring village of Buckhorn Weston just a mile away. The Stapleton Arms pub can be found here. We are 10 minutes away from the towns of Gillingham and Wincanton where various supermarkets, shops and services are. There is a train station in Gillingham which has a direct route to London in less than 2 hours. The larger cities of Bath and Salisbury are less than an hours drive and it takes around an hour to drive to the beautiful Jurassic coastline. The historic towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. The quiet rural roads and bridleways of the Blackmore Vale are excellent for cycling and walking. Blue Vale is in the grounds of our family home. There is a one- bedroomed B&B facility on the ground floor of our home.

Owl cabin is a peaceful & cosy retreat, situated in our garden next to our house on the edge of our woodland, a haven for deer & owls. From the veranda you can watch our free-range ducks & chickens. There is a private, woodland garden with a wood fired hot tub to enjoy the views or gaze at the stars. There are lots of lovely walks including across the fields to the local pub and Bath is only 15-20 mins by car.

The closest accommodation to the Tor summit. A characterful chalet with breathtaking views over exquisite private grounds and the Somerset Levels. Access immediately onto the Tor. Made from sustainable local cedar, this studio chalet features a kitchenette and beautiful bathroom with waterfall shower and bath. Just 6 miles from Bath but well placed for Bristol, Frome, Glastonbury and the South Coast, ideal for a relaxing break or place to work. You have your own parking and garden, plus all the comforts for a relaxing stay, inc super fast broadband. The studio offers total privacy and easy access to explore the local and wider area. Wake up to sunrise over the rolling hills, explore the stunning local area including Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge or historic Wells, and spend evenings unwinding around the campfire beneath clear starry skies. Scrumper's Rest is a studio cabin with a comfy double bed, full kitchen, and separate bathroom. Additional guests with tents / campers can be accommodated in the large field above the orchard.

Stunning self contained luxury cabin located in the back garden of a private house. European king size bed, bathroom and a separate fully equipped kitchen. The outdoor areas have countryside views. The cabin is a 20 minute walk from the City Centre and has excellent public transport links. It is an ideal base for exploring Bath with its myriad of shops and culture, or for going out and about on the network of footpaths and cycle tracks, the Two Tunnels cycleway is 2 minutes away.

Woodland Annex

The garden annex is in a small hamlet near Peasedown St John, Bath, a quiet retreat away from the city. Miles of countryside and woodland walks but close to amenities and bus routes, it’s a very special spot. Perfect for visiting Bath Christmas market, only a short drive to Odd Down Park and Ride or direct buses to the centre of Bath and Wells (uphill walk to bus 7 mins). Longleat Safari Park is only 30 mins so great for families. Bath Spa and Bath University 20 minutes away.

The Old Beauty Room

A bright and airy self contained studio garden room, located in the village of Paulton. The room offers a comfortable double bed, TV, separate W.C & electric shower. There is also tea & coffee making facilities as well as a toaster, fridge/freezer, microwave and full size iron and ironing board. Outside is your own private area with bistro set for you to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you into The Old Beauty Room.

The Hoot

The Hoot is a unique somewhat alternative self contained space that links indoor and outdoor living. Inspired by nature, art and up cycling we have created a ‘maximalist wabi sabi’ lodge. Set privately within our woodland a short up hill walk from the parking area nestled amongst the trees with views over the countryside and quantock hills.
