Cozy, Quiet, Private, Clean w/ FIBER INTERNET We are a farmhouse in the woods 4 miles from Thousand Hills State Park and 5 miles from Truman State University. While staying, you will feel like you are secluded amongst a forrest, yet you'll only be a 5-10 minute drive away from everything in town! The house was built in 2017 with modern finishes. The hottub is always hot and the oversized couches are always comfy. The neighborhood is family/wildlife oriented. Come unwind and relax in the sticks!

Relax with the whole family after exploring the vast chunks of public land that Southern Iowa is known for. There are many types of outdoor recreational opportunities including Foraging for Morels, Fishing on Lake Rathbun and the many local creeks, to exploring/bird watching on the vast areas on Sedan Bottoms WMA. Looking to check out some areas in Northern Missouri, then Rebels Cove is just a short drive and has plenty of land to roam! Or just relax at camp and take advantage of our WiFi!

The Veach Retreat

This spacious, 3 bedroom apartment is located on the World’s Largest Town Square, 15 minutes from Lake Rathbun, and short walking distance for restaurants and shopping. The apartment can sleep up to 11 with 3 bedrooms (king size master, 2 queen rooms, two memory-foam pull-out couches in living room, and full size futon in the master). There are 2 newly remodeled bathrooms, on-site laundry, self-check in with keypad entry, stocked kitchen, WiFi, tv’s in each bedroom, and office space.

When traveling through northeast Missouri or southern Iowa, keep it simple at this charming cottage with stunning sunsets. The Cottages at Whippoorwill Acres were newly built in 2025 and are located at the junction of Highways 63 and 136 south of Lancaster, Missouri. Kirksville, MO is located 20 minutes to the south, and Bloomfield, IA is located 25 minutes to the north. We have six cottages on the property that accommodate 1-6 guests each. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath house is the perfect location for your lake getaway. Located a few minutes from Lake Rathbun, and 10 min from Honey Creek Resort. On property there is a community pond for fishing. This house is pet friendly and has a fenced back yard. There is a $50 pet fee per stay, please add your pet(s) to your reservation when booking.
