The Depot B & B: A Peaceful Retreat

Just minutes from campus, downtown, and the airport, The Depot is a historic home attached to 5 wooded acres, a lake, and a "big sky" view across the prairie for watching sunsets and night skies. Originally a train depot constructed in 1857, it has been fully modernized for contemporary living. However, we have taken great effort to preserve its rustic charms that Abraham Lincoln would have known during his circuit riding days before the Civil War. These include graffiti from 1917.

This clean, comfortable, single family home is located in an established residential neighborhood and is ideal for short or longer term visitors to the University of Illinois, or any other attraction in Champaign-Urbana. It is a 5 minute drive to the University, its stadium and other sports complexes, and the State Farm Event Center. As you'll see from the attached photos, the cozy house is tastefully furnished with everything you need for your stay.

Auntie's Rest Sunrise Room

This 2nd floor bedroom with A twin size bed and a twin day bed. there is also a twin trundle. With tall south or East facing windows the room is quite bright from early morning to late afternoon. This room faces the busy hospital campus and overlooks city bus stop. Amenities include a, mini-fridge, large closet, desk, alarm clock, pitcher and glassware for water. We recommend 2 guests in this room. It is possible to have 3 people in this room.

Large comfortable room (fireplace not to be used). Queen bed and queen futon. Basement bath with shower, shared with male full time resident in adjacent bedroom Stairs into livingroom of owner. Quiet, one block from campus, easy walk to cafe and arboretum. On buslines. Two-night minimum. When possible, I'm flexible about check-in and check-out times. Contact me if you want different times.

Welcome to our 3 bed 1.5 bath 2 story home, very comfortable and relaxing, and the house sits on the Illinois University Golf course, less than 1/4 mile to Willard Airport where you can rent a vehicle, also, Illinois University is 8 min by car. Keyless entry, no garage, but there is a careport.
