The Pod on the Hill

The path to the three distilleries on this side of the Island starts in the village, taking you first to Laphroaig then Lagavulin , finishing at Ardbeg where delicious food is available. The Surfer’s Shack is a unique tiny space created from an upcycled shipping container. The decor is inspired by the local Causeway coastline. If you’re looking for a quiet secluded getaway, this is the place for you, as the shack is surrounded by rolling county Antrim farmlands, all the while being within minutes of the top spots such as the giants causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, the dark hedges and the Bushmills distillery. A little further (15 minutes drive) will take you to Portrush.

This prime position makes us extremely close to both of the blue flag beaches, exceptional restaurants & pubs, the train station and of course Royal Portrush Golf Club. Outside the cabin features a log fired hot tub with views over the Oa perfect for relaxing after a day of taking in the scenery or distillery tours, the gas BBQ and viewing deck will leave you feeling peaceful and content. The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.
