Overlooking Chesil Beach, on Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. Many local eateries, attractions & great base for exploring the many AONBs in West Dorset. Swimming beaches at Hive Beach (Best beaches in Dorset, Sunday Times 2024), West Bay & Weymouth. To the West- Bridport (with it’s famous Wed & Sat street markets), Charmouth (Jurassic Coast centre, renowned fossil beach) and charming historical Lyme Regis. To the East- Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door. Plus- Many historic and magical Celtic sites.

Little Beach House on West Dorset’s Jurassic coast

Little Beach House is located in the unspoilt hamlet of West Bexington only 20 yards from Chesil beach which is on the Jurassic coast of West Dorset. It has uninterrupted views of the sea from the lounge and bedroom and has a very sunny aspect being a south-facing garden, outside it has a grassed back and front garden with private parking West Bexington has a hotel with restaurant and bar, it also has great food at the Club house restaurant, all within a short walking distance of the Chalet

Self-contained bedroom, a sitting room and shower room. Your suite of rooms is separate from the house with its own entrance. The windows overlook the village duck pond and spring and pretty waterfall. There is parking, for your car, at your door. We're in a Dorset village with Trafalgar history, centuries old church, busy pub. The coast is only a couple of miles away. We are on the Dorset Coastal Path and the SSSI Jurasic Coast. £7.50 for a full Dorset breakfast. Evening meal £7 to £12.

Chesil Lodge Cottage

Chesil Lodge Cottage is situated in the beautiful coastal hamlet of West Bexington, one of Dorset's best kept secrets, and just a stone's throw from the spectacular Chesil beach. The cottage is a comfortably appointed chalet with its own driveway, ample parking and enclosed private garden. There is a wooden veranda with sea and countryside views. Inside there is one double bedroom and a further bedroom with a double bed and single bunk above. There is also a sofa-bed in the lounge.

At the end of a no-through road on the edge of the village, this quiet upstairs annex has stunning dual aspect country views across the Bride Valley. The large (32m2), warm and spacious room includes a simple kitchen area and there is a separate bathroom. The annex sits above our garage, accessed via a shared rear hallway. Puncknowle is a quiet village less than 2 miles from the beach, perfectly situated to enjoy the Jurassic coast. The friendly Crown Inn pub is a 5 minute walk away.

Berry Farm Cottage

Berry Farm Cottage nestles in a private area of the grounds of Berry Farm, which dates back to the 16th century. It is located in the charming Conservation Village of Walditch, within walking distance of Bridport. The Cottage itself has 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms with an open-plan living space and is set away from the main house in its own private grounds, with 1,200sqm (0.3acres) of orchard garden, as well as an outside patio with table and chairs, with country views.

Arthouse - Curated artists’ studio + sauna

The former artists’ studio in a converted barn in Thomas Hardy’s West Dorset - close to Chesil Beach and the wonderful Jurassic Coast. The art-filled space, with tall ceilings and exposed beams, is curated with art, sculptures, and ceramics by the artist-owners. Mid-century furnishings complement hand-printed wallpaper and antique rugs. Doors open to a private courtyard garden with a patio and fire pit. The sauna, behind the main barn, overlooks a gravel garden.

The Seaside Shepherd’s Hut

Fall asleep to the sound of waves on shingle in this stunning, hand-crafted oak shepherd’s hut. In winter the Hut is cosy with double glazing, a wood burner plus radiator. In summer relax on the deck to enjoy glorious views of Lyme Bay on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Nestling in my garden, Chesil Beach and the South West Coast Path are 30 seconds away down a private path. Watch magnificent sunsets over the bay and enjoy stargazing in our dark skies.

Fossil and the Cross cottage is a compact, stone-built cottage bungalow set in the tranquil gardens of Wayside Cottages, overlooking the village of West Bexington. Surrounded by unspoiled countryside, with stunning views of the Jurassic Coast towards Lyme Regis. An ideal place for nature lovers, birdwatchers, fishermen, walkers, dog owners or just to relax and explore the Dorset Coast. The cottage is compact but well equipped. Up to 2 dogs are welcome
