We have two selfcatering units on our property, Protea Plekkie/Place (this listing, 4 guests max) and Protea Hoekie/Corner (seperate listing, 2 guests). Ideal for overnight stop when traveling the N3 or N5, or for a comfortable longer stay when visiting our area for business or leisure. Eastern Freestate charm is found in abundance around here!

This beautiful selfcatering house is situated in the Eastern Free State in South Africa, 25km from Bethlehem, 10 km outside picturesque Clarens. (3.5 km dirt/ gravel road) The house is done in a true farmhouse, rustic style with a lovely interior and lots of atmosphere. Well suited for a big family or 2 or 3 couples. The 900 h farm allows for gorgeous views with a wide variety of gazelles and buck to appreciate. Fishing dams - one located just behind the villa.

Wyford - Poplar Cottage

Wyford is a beautiful old school farm set in a valley just 2km off the N3 (about midway between Johannesburg and Durban) offering private self catering cottages. Wyford is great for families, especially with children, and good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. It is of historical interest as it is situated on the first pass over the Drakensburg mountains used by the ox wagons taking supplies to the mines from the coast.

A hop, skip and a jump off the N3, situated in in the Van Reenen Eco Village Precinct. Down the road from the little church tea garden. A great one night stop off. Breakfast at the Tea Garden (not included) or take a early morning walk before continuing with your journey. Dinner pre-ordered for delivery. Good parking for Caravans and trailers. No charge for children/elderly parent sleeping on lounge bed if accompanied by both parents.
