YurtSimple is where life slows down and people unplug. It’s forest bathing in nature. It’s getting away from it all to spend time with a partner, by oneself, and sometimes with pets. You’ll be driving past YurtCation (about 300 feet past YurtCation) to get to YurtSimple. YurtCation is 20’ in diameter and YurtSimple is 16’ in diameter. Wood and charcoal are provided. You may cook on the indoor wood stove top, or visit any number of great restaurants 2 miles away. You can even order pizza delivery

Enjoy the solitude by your scenic private fire pit while you watch the Northern Michigan sunset. Sleep in a queen size bed constructed from reclaimed lumber or use additional space for camping.

Quiet Retreat for Two

Spend a starry night in the country with the comfort of a soft bed, a wood stove, and plenty of space both indoors and out. Our yurt is located in a pocket of trees next to rolling farm fields and beautiful conservation land that the Rocklyn creek meanders through. You can prepare your meals in a sweet outdoor kitchen that is entirely screened in- or choose to sit by the fire. Bruce Trail access is just around the corner, and the towns of Meaford and Owen Sound are a short scenic drive away.

A winding two-track through the woods delivers you to our cozy 200sq ft yurt located on 10 acres outside of quaint Alden, MI. 5 minute drive to Torch. 15 min. to Bellaire/Short’s! Turn on your favorite camp tunes, unplug, read, make art with the yurt art supplies, do a puzzle, bask on the porch, lounge in the hammocks,cook dinner over the fire, head to Alden for breakfast at the Muffin Tin, take a dip in Torch…we’ll tell you a great spot to jump in! Bunk bed is full size lower, twin upper.

The Perry Pines Yurt is a 4-season yurt on Perry Lake less than 2 miles from Cable. With quick access to CAMBA mountain bike trails (4 miles to the North End Trailhead), the Birkie Start Area (5 miles), and on an ATV route, it's a great basecamp for your outdoor activities. Sit on the deck and listen to the loons in the summer or warm up next to the woodstove or in the barrel sauna in the winter. Enjoy the river, sunsets, and incredible night skies as well as the wildlife, including otters, bears, deer, birds and bald eagles in the fall!

This yurt is in a camping setting, with indoor compost toilet, seasonal outdoor shower, no wifi but there is electricity, dishes, indoor hot plate, BBQ, mini fridge, all pots & pans and bedding and clean drinking water.

We provide bedding, water in buckets, a simple kitchen, a battery pack for string lights, and a sauna for warming the bones. We encourage and cater to silent-sport type of guests as we have kind and close neighbors on all sides.
