Fishing is catch and release. Boats, kayak and canoes can be rented for an extra charge. Across the lake from the cabin is a boathouse and boat launch. There is an older dock structure in the lake that is not to be used. Our house is also on the lake across from the cabin.

This Shotgun Shack is a genuine cypress board and batten shotgun shack. Construction of the cabin dates back to the late 1920’s, after the Great Flood of 1927. The shack was move to the property and has undergone a complete restoration. It has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Situated behind the antebellum Burrus Home a.k.a “The Baby Doll House”, near Benoit, MS. There is a gas station in Benoit that sells beverages and snacks but no grocery stores.

The newly redone deck with be a great spot to watch the sun set in the evenings. We are just a few miles south of the B.B. King museum and a short drives to many other blues trail spots.
