Tous les commerces sont accessibles à pieds, boulangeries, supermarché, magasin bio, maison de santé etc... Taninges est situé à proximité des stations de ski de Praz-de-Lys, des Gets Portes du Soleil, et de Morillon Grand Massif. L'hiver, une navette à 2 minutes à pieds de l'appartement vous transportera à Praz-de Lys.

Le refuge de grand-père est niché en montagne à 1200 mètres d'altitude, dans le charmant village de Bonnavaz, tout près des célèbres stations de ski des Gets et du Praz de Lys-Sommand. Le chalet a été entièrement rénové avec goût et se trouve dans un hameau composé de trois chalets et d'une ancienne chapelle, connue sous le nom de « Chapelle de Notre-Dame du vieux chalet ».
