We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

Farthing Cottage is a quaint old farm workers cottage that has been brought back to life with a full renovation. It is situated in the quiet village of Satley where there are some beautiful walks. Local attractions are Hall Hill Farm, Beamish Museum, Hownesgill Tea Rooms, Hamsterly Forest, Chopwell woods, Bowes Museum and Raby Castle to name just a few.

The Annexe

The Annexe is self contained at the rear of Pontop Hall with its own single parking space. The Hall is a grade 2* Listed Building, built as early as 1600. Recently restored the property has all the modern comforts you would expect in a home. You can enjoy a tranquil environment with some excellent walks on your doorstep and in the local area.
