Boat of Garten is a beautiful village situated in the Spey Valley. It is an ideal base for many sporting and nature activities in summer and winter. There is even a steam train that runs past the bottom of the garden. The village has a grocery store, cafe, hotel and a restaurant. Our bungalow has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. There is a well equipped kitchen/dining room and a lounge with a beautiful view. We also have a utility room which is great for drying wet gear and storing wellies!

The property has an enclosed private garden and a shared driveway for 2 cars. Aviemore town and shops are a 10 min stroll down a lovely quiet lane, banked by views of the mountains and the Strathspey Steam Railway. Situated on a working farm a mile from the town of Selkirk makes Highfield an ideal base to explore. Highfield commands an elevated position giving panoramic views of Selkirk and the surrounding hills. Situated on The Borders Abbey Way there is easy access to excellent walking and cycling routes. For the more adventurous we are a short drive to great mountain biking routes at Innerleithen and Peebles. Melrose & Tweedbank railway station is a 10 min drive, Edinburgh is just under an hour away.

At Milton Cottage we aim to offer guests a cosy retreat to our croft where they can come and unwind in Glenlyon, Scotland’s longest and most beautiful glen. For hill walking, Ben Lawers and 12 munros are within a 6 mile radius. If you like fishing, salmon and trout fishing can be arranged. On request, we offer a three-course dinner.
