Klipplaatsdrift lodge is a "off-the grid" lodge overlooking the Vlekpoort river 32km's from Hofmeyr, Eastern Cape. The landscape boasts abundant birdlife, scenery and wildlife for those looking to get away. The main lodge is spacious and airy with all the amenities one needs for self catering. The sleeping arraignments: We have 4 chalets with 2 bedrooms each, a lounge area, kitchenette, bathroom with shower and a covered patio with a build in braai area tucked underneath Acaccia thorn trees.

Although we are self-catering, we do offer a variety of home grown farm produce and meals which can be ordered in advance.

Our peaceful Karoo farm is the perfect place to stop over, relax and be refreshed on your journey. Our neat yet cozy self-contained cottage is perfect for singles, couples or families with children. Situated adjacent to our home, the cottage has its own entrance and patio overlooking the garden and pastures. The garden is shared with our family, so expect some activity of free-range children and pets! Our farm is accessed by 7km of dirt road.

Dwarsvlei Wild Olive Cottage

This beautiful rustic mountain cottage nestles on the slopes of the Renosterberg. There is no electricity, and the cell phone signal is erratic. The views are unbelievable. This enchanting little cottage provides the perfect place for a retreat away from reality. It is the ideal place for keen hikers, mountain bikers or trail runners to spend an active weekend away. It comfortably sleeps 4 and has a toilet, and shower with a gas geyser.

Doringvygie

Doringvygie at Alandale Farm in the Eastern Karoo near Middelburg (Eastern Cape) is set on a working sheep and cattle farm. The self-catering cottage accommodates five guests in three rooms. Enjoy views from the east-facing stoep or Karoo sunsets from the west-facing one. Guests can join farm activities like sheep shearing, cattle and sheep drafting, explore walking and bike trails, or swim in a farm dam.
