I'm a little biased on this place, I work here, it's beautiful. Go tidepooling on the North End of the bay. Head down to the Gazebo area and restroom where the beginning of the Oregon Coast Trail leads you to Cape Arago State Park, about a 4 mile hike. Awesome hiking trail with amazing scenery.

Soak up some history at the Observation building sitting on the bluff overlooking the ocean. This was once the home site of Louis Simpson. Winter Time brings storms and high tides that create huge waves that crash on the rocks. Thanksgiving to December 31st is the Hoilday Lights in the garden which is a beauitful site. The garden is the jewel of this park, with the original garden cottage and pond from the days when Simpson lived here. Check out Simpson's Beach located behind the garden and off the Oregon Coast Trail. There is a $5.00 vehicle fee to park which is well worth it, the fee goes to the park.

There are two coves to explore, the north cove and south cove. North cove is closed in spring for wildlife but the south cove is open and it's the best place to go tide-pooling. The trail for south cove is very steep. Alot of folks wonder out to the stone overlook to watch for whales during the season.

Their is another section further up on seven devils on a sharp curve Hinch Road. There are more hiking trails here and this land once was a family farm that belonged to the Frederickson's.

Food scene
I love the Bandon Rain Apple Cider on tap, they make a yummy cheeseburger and I really like the Cajun crab bisque soup. Good fish tacos too.
