Lots of ferries depart from this dock area. They can take you to the Asian side of Istanbul (30'). Just crossing is beautiful, the last time we saw a pack of 8 dolphins in the Bosphorus.

In this street, there are very nice restaurants, brasseries, coffee shops, wine houses... worth to have a walk and choose your favorite for the evening.

All this area is a maze of small streets filled with shops of all kinds. I love walking around there, it is always busy. There are also many small fish restaurants in the back streets.

The consulate is not of interest to me but, in that corner is what my kids call the "minecraft fountain," made out of granite blocks, beautifully illuminated at night. A must if you come with kids.

City metro stop. If you board the train here you can go straight to Sultan Ahmet historical area. It will take about 20 minutes.This is the last stop of the line.

Topkapi Palace and Museum... the architecture is very impressive. They also display, armor, clothing and jewels from the Ottoman sultans.

Blue Mosque, still use as an active mosque, very impressive to see how tourism and faith can mix peacefully. Beautiful experience. You have to remove your shoes and wear something proper.
