Featured on FYI Network's Tiny House Hunters! Very spacious houseboat with a vaulted ceiling in the main cabin (living room). Sleeps 3 comfortably. Lots of room to move around with a queen size bed in the Captain's Quarters (Bedroom) and a twin bed in the living room that's a day bed. FAQ: Q: Location? A: Mid-Peninsula Downtown Charleston which is roughly 1.5 - 2 miles to the heart of the historic district. A five minute / $6 Uber away or take the bikes! The boats are located downtown in a private marina where our 5-6 boats are slipped & only shared with a large mega-yacht that rents the outside slippage 5 months out of the year. We rent this slippage from Seabreeze Dry Stack Marina (49 Immigration Street). This accommodation is for people looking for peace and tranquility as the setting of the marina is quiet and secluded. You'll have a stunning view of Charleston Harbor and the Ravenel Bridge. Q: How can I see all of your boats for rent? Our boats are designed with live-aboard / stay-aboard in mind with all the creature comforts of home. Fully stocked kitchens, premium furnishings, updated HVAC, TV, Keurig coffee makers… etc. Q: Any restaurants close by? A: TONS! Some of Charleston’s best are within a mile of the marina. Q: Why is the price so different for my dates? A: Airbnb automatically sets our prices based on demand & seasonality. If you don’t search with exact dates Airbnb shows the lowest price throughout the season. Prices range from $99 per night for weekday day-of bookings in January all the way to $499 per night for weekends during peak season summer and everywhere in-between. Q: Bathroom… explain! A: The boat is equipped with an apartment sized (12 gallon) water heater ensuring you get hot water throughout the boat. You'll always have enough hot water to enjoy a 10 - 15 minute shower. The boat has a full sized marine toilet that is easy to use as long as you follow our simple instructions. Q: Heat? Air Conditioning? A: Our boats are equipped with BOTH ample Heat & Air Conditioning. No matter the time of year you can be assured that you will be staying in a climate controlled & comfortable environment. Q: Can we take the boats out & drive them? A: No. We don’t carry any insurance for bareboat charters but we do offer captained Charters on specific boats which are really fun! Charters include sightseeing in Downtown harbor, sunset cruises, full hay & ½ day cruises, special moments like engagements, or anything else you can think of. All charter requests are handled via inquiry & paid through Airbnb as part of your stay. Q: Can I check-in earlier than 4 or Checkout later than 10? A: We will do our best. Most days there’s someone checking in the same day there’s a checkout but we try & go above and beyond if this is requested. Q: Can we fish from the dock or boats? A: Absolutely! We ask that you fish either from the side or front of the vessel & stay clear of the props so your line doesn’t get prop/shaft wrapped. Fishing from the dock is also allowed as long as you mind the props of the vessels. You can easily get a fishing license from the DNR online. We operate on the honor system & don’t check for licenses but ask that you support the local DNR & pay the small fee to make it legal. We don’t supply fishing equipment & keep in mind there are no tackle shops in Downtown Charleston. Shrimp from the local Q: What to expect that's different than a hotel? A: It's a boat, it is a unique FUN experience. There may be noises and smells that you'd expect from a boat. Pumps, motors, ocean water, etc. Every boat is broken the day it hits the water, especially salt water. We take great care of our fleet but we expect guests to tell us if anything isn’t working properly & we will PROMPTLY respond & repair. Q: Waves? A: The marina has a sea wall which dilutes any waves. We are also lucky enough to be tucked behind Drum Island at the base of the Ravenel Bridge. which dilutes almost all the waves from the harbor. There is still a small amount of wave action and you'll feel a slight rock from time-to-time, mostly from boats passing by who don’t respect the no wake zone (feel free to yell at them & shake your first while doing so). If there's a bad storm or the wave action gets to a point that your stay is no longer enjoyable, we will do our best (no guarantees) to work out alternative accommodations for you as we have multiple condos Downtown for landlubbers. Your comfort is our top priority. 99% of the time the marina is almost totally flat and calm. We also keep dramamine on the dock incase anyone experiences sea sickness. Q: Will you reduce your price? A: No(ISH)... Maybe, but unlikely. Don’t expect a price reduction unless it’s the slow season & you’re messaging about days within 1-4 days of check-in or you’re looking for a long-term stay in the off season (see next “Q”). If you message us with a booking that somewhat fits the criteria above & tell us a budget we can try & work with you on one of our 6 boats. “Will you reduce the price of a weekend booking a month away” will always be a “no”. Q: Do you do long-term or monthly rentals? A: We have done long term rentals in the past. From March 1 - October 30 the boats are rented at a 90% occupancy rate so the monthly rate is only slightly reduced compared to the daily rate (around 20%). From November through February we’re much more flexible depending on length of stay & which vessel you’re interested in. It helps us to know your budget and we can tell you if we have anything that could work. Q: Smoking? A: On the outside only & please be responsible. Kindly don’t light the boat on fire. Q: Do you allow pets? A: You bet! We ask that dogs not be puppies, don’t scratch at doors, and don’t bark incessantly while you’re away. The boats are close together & a non-stop barking dog isn’t appreciated. We DEEP clean the boats after pets stay aboard due to future guests’ possible allergies so a $75 pet fee is applied for those who travel with pets. If you have a service dog & try to circumvent the pet fee be prepared to present FULL documentation. Q: Can we hold events or parties? A: No. This is a place to relax. We ask that there be no events or parties on the boats so the other guests can enjoy their stay. Q: You charge extra for more than 2 adults, do my kids count? A: Any child over the age of 13 is considered an adult & needs to be represented in the booking inquiry as an additional guest. Q: Is the marina safe? A: VERY. We have 24/7 surveillance & in the 3 years we’ve been here we’ve never had any sort of issue. We share an entrance with the port authority which has a 24/7 guarded gate. You turn into the marina before the guarded gate but it scares off any would-be pests. The parking lot & dock is well lit & the marina is right off East Bay which is one of the main roads in Downtown Charleston. All boats lock from inside & you can padlock the door when you leave if you wish to lock up your belongings. The marina is only us & we’re here daily looking over the fleet. Q: Handicap accessible? A: No. You'll need to get on the boat which requires a 1-2' step and there are steps on the boat. The deck stairs are steep and you'll need to be sure footed. Q: Parking? A: Yes, you can park your car. Since it’s a small private marina the walk to the parking lot from the boat is only roughly 50-70 yards. Q: Can I trailer my small boat & side-tie it to the boat I rented? A: You can bring your boat but it must be arranged with the marina & there’s nowhere to park a trailer. There’s also nowhere close by to slip the boat so do your research on boat landings. The marina will charge you small fee (roughly $40 - $60 nightly) to wet-slip the boat. Q: Space & Comfort? A: You'll find the layout of the boat extremely spacious and comfortable. The bed is a Queen (ish) size. Queen with slight modifications to fit the space. The shower is tall and comfortable for anyone 6’4” & under. Q: I have a non-profit, will you donate a free stay to my gala? A: I’m sure your cause is worthy, but we get this request far too often so we must decline. Q: I’m a blogger / photographer / ninja trainer… will you barter? A: No. Please don’t ask. We don’t pay our slip rent with your blog posts. Q: Will you partner with my local company or buy my advertising? A: We get penalized through Airbnb if we don’t respond to all inquiries which means we must respond to your spam. You won’t like our message so don’t send it. Q: Will this be the best vacation I’ve ever had and should I book now? A: Without a doubt.
Extremely safe and private marina in downtown Charleston. The entrance to the marina is shared with the Port Authority which has a 24/7 guard. There is a train which blocks the road to the marina leading into the port authority but it only comes 1-2X per day. Sometimes it can block the roadway for up to 20 minutes but that is infrequent.

This rental is a two story villa and an incredibly serene and relaxing space. On the first floor there is a small kitchenette, large living area with pull out sofa, and half bath. The kitchenette includes a full size fridge, toaster oven, microwave, pots & pans, dinnerware, basic cooks tools, and a stove top with two burners. There is no traditional oven or dishwasher. There is a dining table for two but no formal dining area. Sleep comfortably in the king size bed upstairs and enjoy the peaceful natural light that beams through the windows surrounding the entire second floor.
This property is located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, which is considered the "Gateway to the Peninsula". Along the Spring Street and Cannon Street corridor are local restaurants, flower shops, bakeries, and small boutiques.

More on that later. Now, onto the house: It's tiny! But it doesn't feel that way. The light color of the bamboo flooring, the many windows and the high ceilings help to open it up. The loft holds a queen-sized mattress, which sits low to the floor on tatami mats. There is a full bath with a rain-down shower, air vent, and cloth curtain door. There is a fully functional kitchen, with gas stove and microwave. There is a desk/table and a very comfy futon couch that opens to sleep an (additional) adult or two children (who are very welcome). The futon, when pulled out, measures 82” x 45.” Amenities for daily living abound: fast wi-fi, Mrs. Meyers soaps, Everyone shampoo and conditioner, towels & bed linens, full set of cookware and knives, electrical kettle, coffee maker and french press, a selection of teas, Trader Joe's dark roast coffee, wine glasses and wine opener, champagne glasses, pepper grinder, kosher salt, olive oil, honey, etc. If you are in need of anything, just ask!
This tiny house is in the Riverland Terrace neighborhood of James Island -- a great leaping off spot for downtown (four miles), Folly Beach (nine miles), and Johns Island (just across the bridge). The neighborhood itself is super cute, with a community garden, bungalow houses, and live oaks trees draped in Spanish moss. Grab the bicycles and cruise around, or head to the adjacent plaza for some tacos (Zia's Taqueria), an independent movie (The Terrace Theatre), or live music (The Pour House).

This amazing space is an open-concept studio style apartment over our detached garage. Full kitchen with fridge, oven, stove and microwave. Cook up some breakfast and serve it up on the island before heading out for your day of adventures. Polished wood floors, ceiling fan, tv with chromecast, love seat and comfy lounge chairs. A comfy queen bed awaits you at the end of the day.
This is a cool, clean, modern detached garage apartment in Charleston's coolest neighborhood- Avondale. Avondale has been named coolest neighborhood 3 years running by Charleston City Paper, and it's easy to see why. Walk or bike to over a dozen pubs, restaurants, shops, salons, yoga studios, etc... including Pearlz, Al di la, Triangle, The Glass Onion, Mex 1, Gene's Haufbrau, Voodoo, and The Roost, (to name a few) all just a block or so away from the apartment. We are only 3 miles to the heart of historic downtown Charleston, and only 20 minutes to Folly, Sullivan's or Isle of Palms. We are also only a few blocks from the West Ashley greenway- a local biking/walking/running path that cuts through the city. It's a great way to get your exercise in, or to get over to South Windemere shopping center to do a little eating at Med Bistro or shopping at Half Moon Outfitters. The apartment is a true studio- with no walls separating living areas, but it's charming and clean, and you can't beat the location. Fully equipped kitchen as well. This IS NOT downtown Charleston- it is just over the drawbridge from the peninsula. You will have access to beach chairs, a beach Umbrella and a cooler if you would like. Anything else, just ask and we will try to accommodate ! We try to meet all guests face to face upon check in if possible, but occasionally leave a key under the mat if we aren't going to be around. Other than that- we don't interact with guests much unless we see each other coming and going in the driveway. Feel free to approach us with questions, but we understand how guests prefer privacy on vacation, and we try to respect this. A car is the best way to get downtown- even though it's only a few miles a way there is no bike lane on the Ashley River bridge- so unless you are an experienced bike rider - I would drive- but once you are downtown, walking or biking is the best way to see everything. Closer to home, here in Avondale, almost everything is within walking or biking distance, and it's easy to get around that way. An uber ride downtown is $8-$10.Taxis are fairly inexpensive as well, and there is a city bus that stops a block away, but Charleston isn't known for its public transit, so I can't vouch for it. There are also water taxis that can take you to Mount Pleasant and back! There is a tall set of stairs leading up to the apartment and the shower is pretty small.
Avondale is a trendy community just outside the Charleston peninsula – about 3 miles from the heart of the historic district. It is comprised of several modest but eclectic neighborhoods surrounding a thriving bar and restaurant scene.

Not only are you 5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from downtown, you are walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and safe. The entire studio is private. Features hardwood floors and an updated bathroom. Shared backyard has great shade and an area to sit and relax.

I do not allow pets, but there are pets on the property and in the other units. You can expect to see friendly dogs, cats, and lots of birds enjoying the back yard. Fish and a turtle can sometimes be seen in the pond. Please do not allow any pets inside the unit during your stay. Plates, silverware, pots & pans, napkins, and other dining essentials are provided for you. Towels, shampoo, & conditioner are also provided. Old Mt. Pleasant is a safe, charming, quiet neighborhood with a unique historic district and waterfront parks. It is a walkable, bike and golf-cart friendly neighborhood which is very accessible to downtown Charleston and the beach. Grocery stores and top restaurants are within walking distance. 10 minutes to downtown. 5 minutes to Sullivan's Island beach. 20 minutes to the airport.

Nestled in the Historic Plantation District between Summerville & Charleston, our timberframe "bunkhouse" offers privacy, comfort & convenience. This 850+ sq ft retreat includes full kitchen & bath, 2 dbl beds, twin bed & plenty of living space. There's a private entrance, so come & go as you please (we're right next door if you need us). We're minutes from Middleton Place, Drayton Hall & Magnolia Gardens, an easy drive to downtown Charleston, historic Summerville, beaches & golf courses.
Park under the grand oaks, follow the walkway around to your private entrance and make yourself at home! The "bunkhouse" is a newly renovated spacious loft above our detached oversized garage. It is completely private yet bright and cheerful, with large windows that look out over our wooded property. You may see deer and other wildlife (and our little flock of chickens) but you won't see another house and you won't hear the sounds of traffic, just owls, crickets and the occasional "cock-a-doodle-doo" of our good lookin' rooster. Step inside and you'll find a well equipped kitchen with a full size refrigerator and stove, a large island, coffee maker, coffee, tea, bottled water, ice, a few snacks and maybe even some fresh eggs from our chickens that roam the property. The hanging beds, cozy quilts and comfy pillows might just make you want to extend your stay! The bathroom has a roomy shower and plenty of fresh fluffy towels, shampoo, soap, hairdryer, etc. There's also satellite TV (Directv) and books & games for you to enjoy. You'll find a selection of maps, brochures and restaurant guides for Charleston and Summerville to help you plan your adventures. (Yes, food is an adventure in Charleston!).
We're located on a large wooded piece of property on a private road, so there's no traffic and lots of peace and quiet. We have chickens that roam the property, honeybees and (seasonally) a vegetable/herb garden. It's the perfect place to get away, relax...nap...maybe even write that novel.

I do not allow pets, but there are pets on the property and in the other units. You can expect to see friendly dogs, cats, and lots of birds enjoying the back yard. Fish and a turtle can sometimes be seen in the pond. Please do not allow any pets inside the unit during your stay. Plates, silverware, pots & pans, napkins, and other dining essentials are provided for you. Towels, shampoo, & conditioner are also provided. TV is equipped with local channels (availability subject to antenna strength and weather) and Netflix.
Old Mt. Pleasant is a safe, charming, safe neighborhood with a unique historic district and waterfront parks. It is a walkable, bike and golf-cart friendly neighborhood which is very accessible to downtown Charleston and the beach. Grocery stores and top restaurants are within walking distance. 10 minutes to downtown. 5 minutes to Sullivan's Island beach. 20 minutes to the airport.

Welcome to our humble abode! We had a baby boy in May 2019 that you may or may not hear a bit from during your stay :) The space has been recently updated! You will have your own room and bath with a semi-private home entrance. As the upstairs of our home is reserved solely for Airbnb, it has a very private feel. We're minutes from Sullivans Island tucked away in a beautiful quiet neighborhood and just a few miles from downtown.
The space is a room over our garage with an attached bathroom and has a semi-private entrance. You will enter through the garage and into our laundry room where you can enter the door to your room upstairs. While we recently had a baby boy, and you may hear him cry during your stay; however, our rooms are at the other end of the house so you most likely won't hear much. Please inquire for more details around this. The room does have a mini fridge and microwave for use. There are stairs required to access the room and like most finished rooms over garages, the head clearance is low in spots, so if you're over 6', watch your noggin at times! The room has a queen size bed along with a comfy single size inflatable mattress when more than 2 guests are traveling. Newly installed mini split AC unit to keep you comfortable year round.
The neighborhood is quiet and filled with trees. We are less than a mile from a small shopping center (J crew, DSW, Nortdstrom Rack) and 2 miles away from a large outdoor mall with a big movie theater. Ubers to downtown Charleston are under $15.

We are close to the IOP beach and downtown. Also lots of shopping and a theatre right down the street. The room is clean and cozy with attached private bathroom. It definitely will give you privacy if you want it. We will look forward to meeting you ! There also is a spare room if there are extra people in your party.
Private room on second story, with its own attached master bath . Queen size sleigh bed. The floors are carpeted. The room also has a ceiling fan. There is a television with cable.We also have Wi-Fi. Very comfortable.The house is located in a nice neighborhood which is in the center of town. We are six miles north of the Arthur Ravenel bridge, less than 3 mile drive from IOP beach. Shopping and movie theater close by. Boone Hall within two miles.The bus stop is a 5 walk that can take you to downtown Charlestown or around Mount Pleasant. There will be a pot of coffee and pastries or yogurt in the morning. The kitchen is accessible any other time to guest if needed. I have 2 bikes for guest to use to ride around the area. We also have beach chairs,umbrella and towels for the beach. The home has three bedrooms so if there are extra guest in your party, there is additional space.There is so much to do in the surrounding area that I recommend googling events for the time you would like to stay. Also anyone going on the cruise boat we can store your car while your gone.
Great neighborhood ! Don't be surprised if the neighbors pop in and out. We all are very close and always visiting each other.... Or in need of a stick of butter !

The property consists of this studio apartment located above the detached garage and the main house that is listed separately, therefore guests may be sharing the property during your stay, however they will not have access to the garage. The studio is accessed through a gated entrance separate from the main house for added privacy. It has a comfortable queen-sized bed, a loveseat that pulls out into a single bed, and a queen air mattress. All bed and bathroom linens are provided. The kitchenette is complete with sink, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and coffee maker. Basic cooking and serving utensils are provided, as well. The fully stocked private bathroom has a standup shower with all of the essentials and hair dryer provided. A large closet provides adequate storage for your travel gear and contains an iron/ironing board. Wi-fi is included on a dedicated network with a strong signal and cable TV is included as well. Perfect for dining outdoors. The bathroom is tiny but has everything you need. Fresh towels, Beach towels, Soap and Hairdryer are provided. The living room has a small comfortable sofa and two upholstered chairs. A built-in desk with chair and plugs and wifi if you have a bit of work to do. There is a little drop-leaf table with two chairs if you prefer to dine inside.

I love my neighborhood because everything is within walking distance. It's a casual and fun place with a friendly atmosphere.. This location puts you in the center of everything Shem Creek has to offer at a reasonable price to rent. The location also offers free parking which it very scarce in this popular area. What to do: Walk or bike to the all the gorgeous waterfront restaurants, bars, coffee shops and Shem Creek park with views of Downtown Charleston. The boat landing is steps away so bring your boat for an extra fee. Fishing, paddle boarding, kayaks, art lessons, hair and nail salons, and shopping are all within walking distance. Live entertainment and night life scene available at a variety of places. Walk to Reds, Tavern and Table, Waters Edge, The Shelter and Arts Bar & Grill, the marina and Shem Creek Park to name a few. Red Drum has a fabulous Brunch with bottomless champagne for $14 with your meal on Sunday as well as Tavern and Table. An absolute treasure is Pages Okra Grill across the street that opens at 6am for breakfast and the most amazing country southern family style dishes in the Lowcountry at reasonable prices. It's always packed and is a local favorite. If you dont want to wait for a table bring the moniter to the house & wait instead if in a line. It works!! You will be called when table ready. Also if you want something less crowed Vintage Cafe coffe shop is around the corner and Vicious Biscuit just opened about a 1/2 mile down on Coleman blvd towards Charleston. A sunset catamaran cruise in season leaving out of Shem Creek for spectacular views of Charleston, the bridge and the most incredible sunsets you've ever seen. Don't be surprised if you see many dolphins swim up and maybe a manatee. For beautiful shops and an old fashioned soda shop pharmacy check out Pitt Street Pharmacy in Old Village and the park where you can fish, crab, bike, picnic and see a 360% view of Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, Ravenel Bridge and Mt Pleasant waterways. Historic Charleston is 10 mins away with exciting tours, horse and buggy rides, Art galleries, delicious seafood and nightlife. Uber is reasonably priced and a good choice or a rick-Shaw is fun once you get downtown to get around town if you get tired of walking. Patriots Point is 10 mins away also and you can take the water ferry to Charleston and back for a nominal fee. ( please excuse the road construction on Coleman blvd they are widening it and its a bumpy & aggravating but they are in the process of making phase 3 of the Shem Creek Park which is a must see during your stay!

Location! Location! A cozy retreat on a quiet street that is a short distance to some of the best restaurants and bars in Mount Pleasant. It has a cozy cottage feel with an outdoor shower and private fenced in back yard. Bike and walk most anywhere; 2 beach cruiser bikes provided! Less than a mile from the fun on Shem Creek, 3.5 miles to the Beaches of Sullivan's Island, and 6.5 miles from historic downtown Charleston.
This is one side of a duplex in a quiet, established neighborhood located in the heart of Mt. Pleasant. It is not on a through street, which means that is has little traffic. The street loops around to Shem Creek less than a block away, which makes for a short, picturesque walk. The duplex was built in 1960. It is made out of brick and has a classic, simple feel to it, but is by no means perfect. There is a large patio in the back yard with table and chairs, along with with a fire pit, and a beautiful, fully enclosed, outdoor shower. It has its own private fenced in back yard that is HUGE, and perfect for dogs. There are two bedrooms, each has two windows for plenty of sunlight. One bedroom has a queen bed. The other has a full size bed and one twin bed. Hardwood and tile flooring throughout the house. There is a sectional sofa in the living area with a 'smart' TV. It has a newly renovated kitchen outfitted with the essentials; stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, plates, cups, utensils, coffee maker, pots & pans, toaster and blender. Washer, Dryer, Iron, Ironing Board, and Blow Dryer provided. Two beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs and a small cooler are also available for use. The other side of the duplex is a short term rental as well. Each has its own front door PRIVATE entrance with a screened-in porch. They also both have their own PRIVATE, fenced in back yard, with back door entry. Our other unit is available to rent on Airbnb. Our home is conveniently located less than a mile from Shem Creek. We could write a small book on all that Shem Creek and the local area has to offer. We have two boys, a Giant Schnauzer, and we love going out to eat and sampling some of the world class restaurants the Charleston area has to offer. We love sharing what we have discovered, just ask! We moved here 6 years ago and feel like we are on vacation. Our favorite way to explore the area is on bikes, so we wanted to share that with our guests. Sullivan's island and downtown Charleston are in opposite directions on the same road with bike paths the whole way to each. Depending on how adventurous you are, you can head out the front door and be on the beach, or enjoying all that downtown Charleston has to offer without ever getting in your car. There are also water taxis downtown from Patriots Point if you do not want to ride the bridge. Again, just ask, we have information on all of that. Within an 8 minute walk out the front door there is a Starbucks and a host of great places to eat, shop, or grab a drink. We hope you have a wonderful time in the Mount Pleasant/Charleston area, no matter what reason brings you here! We have been asked on many occasions about steps/stairs and there are no stairs or steps one has to climb to access our home. For grocery deliver there are many options to choose from these days, one that we recommend, due to it's full-service nature-(who wants to go grocery shopping on vacation?) is Groceries Ahead www.groceriesahead.com They will shop, deliver and PUT AWAY all your groceries, including beer and wine. All you have to do is show up and start living your best life! Make sure orders are placed 48 hours in advance to avoid a $25 last minute charge.
It is a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of Coleman Avenue and Shem Creek, yet off the beaten path down a quiet road in an old neighborhood. It is not on a through street so there is little traffic, and only a couple streets from the water, which makes for a picturesque evening stroll. It is nice having the option of walking to dinner, or down the street to Starbucks in the morning. This is a great and historic neighborhood that is fun to explore on foot or by bike. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are also only a few miles away.
