There are kayaks, a paddleboard and lots of floaties available for use. The kids will love the large beach area and catching sunnies, crappies and bass right off the dock. A Bennington pontoon is also available to rent.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

The lakeside covered deck offers comfortable patio furniture and amazing views of the lake! It is the perfect space to enjoy yourselves at the lake. The city of Ottertail is a highly desired Minnesota vacation spot. The home is a short 2 minute drive away. Ottertail has fun shops, delicious restaurants, and a couple of golf courses.
