The Phoenix official Earthship cannot be compared to any other rental in this world. This home’s jungle greenhouse creates its own microclimate in the high mountain desert and is completely off-the-grid, exquisitely detailed and outfitted with modern amenities. The outer greenhouse features towering banana trees, grape vines, birds, turtles and even a fish pond. The inner living spaces are cozy and quiet. The Phoenix Earthship was featured in 2014 as one of Lonely Planet’s Top Ten Eco-Stays.

Nearby attractions include Plaza Blanca, Georgia O'Keefe Welcome Center and Ghost Ranch. Easy drive to Taos and Santa Fe. A truly lovely place to rest, relax and take in all the nearby sites and activities.

Taos Earthship: Modern + Mesa

Located in the world-famous Greater World Earthship Community, this modern off-grid home is one of a kind! Built by hand over 8 years by me, your host, Kirsten. This sustainable house is bright, light, and airy with clean lines and unique details. Like all Earthships this house is built from natural and repurposed materials such as used automobile tires, cardboard, old cans and bottles. All electricity for the house is from solar. All water is from the sky. More comfort, less hippie.

The Casita at Prado Verde Ranch

The Casita at Prado Verde Ranch has a rustic feel and will take you back in time. The ranch, located along the Chama River, is a 200-acre working ranch in Abiquiu NM. The main ranch house, well over 100 years old, is home to the Newell family and Newell Cattle. It is winter pasture and spring calving grounds for the cattle. The home site was originally settled by Bartolome Trujillo in the 1734. Pottery shards found in the pastures indicate that this site was a Native American settlement.

Taos Skybox "Stargazer" High Desert Retreat

Set on 30 acres of private land on the western edge of town, Taos Skybox "Stargazer" is a unique vacation home experience, purpose-built to take advantage of the dark skies and endless vistas of the high desert landscape. This Earthship is great for experiencing a home that is quiet, serene, romantic, private, (one acre lot) surrounded by acres of sagebrush and chamisa. and is only 15 minutes from town. The inside is dark adobe with gold straw, with flagstone floors, and rustic Sycamore Oak beams. 3 kivas fireplaces too! It's been used as a recording studio too, If you like taking awesome photographs, this is THE place. Cozy, comforting! Pets are welcome and must be leashed! Cat box provided by request!

Raven House

This cozy 2-story home sits on 10 acres in the Chama River Valley. A seasonal creek runs along edge of land with amazing mountain views. Ideal for a single artist, couple or small family. Hiking + hot springs nearby, including Ghost Ranch, Poshuouingue ruins & Ojo Caliente Springs! Most pets are welcome (for a pet fee). It's helpful to check in on it, however, due to our contained pups further back on the land. Open to longer stays at discounted price. Write about either to discuss!

Our casita sits on 13.5 acres of land and has expansive views of Abiquiu, the Chama river valley, the geologic formations known as Plaza Blanca (or the “White Place”), and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains over Santa Fe. We are located 55mins from Santa Fe, and 5hrs from Denver. Abiquiu is a destination frequented by artists, writers, spirit seekers, and nature lovers from around the world.
