Located in the heart of Kohukohu village across the road from beautiful Hokianga Harbour, the historic Old Fell Boat Shed provides accommodation for up to six guests. It's the ideal timeout spot to write, paint, kayak (two on-site), fish or just relax. Cafe's, art gallery, pub and general store are a level two-minute walk. Wild Forest Tree House Eco Retreat + outdoor bath

Like a magic carpet ride in the canopy of the forest. A 120 year old Kauri villa was about to be torn down. We rescued the French doors, sarking, weatherboards, windows, flooring and shower fittings, then used them to build a space nestled into the forest slope, so that with all sets of French doors open, you're not looking down at the canopy. You're living inside it. Everything has had a life before this place. You can feel it.

This gorgeous house is built right in the boughs of the trees reconnecting you with tales like the Lord of the Rings and the Magic Faraway Tree.
