There is so much history here, pretty good restaurants or you can just hang out under those big oak’s enjoy the breeze. This is also the home of the Stephan F Austin State University. We have a lot to offer in this town.

Log Cabin Lodge at Tall Timbers Retreat. Tall Timbers Retreat is only 8 miles from downtown Nacogdoches, which is THE oldest town in Texas. The Log Cabin Lodge has 4 bedrooms and one full bath and one half bath. Nestled among the majestic pine trees, the fully furnished cabin is completely updated and includes all the comforts of home including satellite TV. Sleeping arrangements: 3 spacious bedrooms with queen beds and 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds.

The Morewood

Little Pine Cabin is located in a quaint compound on the shores of Lake Sam Rayburn, but conveniently situated to visit Lufkin (18 miles), Huntington (15 miles) and Nacogdoches (20 miles). The cabin has beautiful views of the lake and complete access to our expansive shoreline. Please note this is an open concept cabin. There are walls but no doors.

The cabin is a private little house on a corner lot with a view of pine, oak, and cedar trees, but is also on the corner of two highways, making it safe and convenient to all locations in Lufkin. There is traffic noise. The oldest town in Texas, Nacogdoches, is 17 miles away and is an easy commute from here. The largest lake in Texas, Sam Rayburn, is a 25-minute drive. Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun, kayaks available for rent, baitshop, paddle boat for small pond (for bunkhouse guests only), firepit, bbq pit, griddle, walking distance to river.
