We welcome most Pets to join you, offering an adjacent secure yard. If inside we ask they are not left inside alone , sit on the couches / beds and when outside, animals must be on lead as our farm animals are near by. Views will take your breath away! The off-grid lodge is nestled into a ridge & completely private, you have it all to yourselves. Sleeps up to ten people. More if guests bring their swags. Large dining table, couches, full-size fridge, air conditioner, wood heater, BBQ & pool table. It is very pretty & private. Everyone who stays seems to enjoy themselves, but don’t expect a serviced town-style motel room or apartment. Bring your own pillows, sheets/quilts, or sleeping bags, & towels.

We are a dog friendly host (unfortunately we have decided to not host cats) We are perfectly situated between Mansfield and Benalla. Mountainbiking and bushwalking, right at the doorstep or explore the wider area. 2km from Lake Nillahcootie. 50min from the base of Mt Buller. Benalla and Winton Raceway are 25 and 30mins away.

Rustic shed house in Merrijig

When people look for a rustic getaway, they often mean 5 star wrapped in corrugated iron. This is not that. This is truly rustic - old timber from the cattleyards line the base of the walls. The bathroom basin is from Nanna's 150 year old house. The tin lining is from the roof of our shearing shed, complete with authentic rust marks. Not suitable for small children due to stairs. Come experience our 'Shed House' - a truly rustic accomodation experience in the High Country.
