In bygone days, the description for this updated 100-year-old Cottage was, “It sits a block away from & high on the hill for panoramic views of White Bear Lake”. You can still get glimpses of the lake through the trees & modern houses that dot the landscape. There are still several small cottages from the days when Wildwood Amusement Park was the 'go to destination' from the big cities. It's located 12 minutes from downtown 15 minutes from the airport. 12 minutes from the U of Minnesota-5 miles from the stadium. Surrounded by a beautiful garden. Easy to park. One huge attic bedroom carpeted heated/cooled with a King bed. Two regular bedrooms with queen beds in each room. One queen sized futon sleeper in the lower level. One full hide-bed/couch in a porch like room heated. Two kitchens two bathrooms with a nice living room, and dining room.

Our parents built this darling 4-season cottage by hand in 1950. Lovingly preserved and recently refreshed, we now want to share our little red cottage on Lake Minnetonka with guests who want to enjoy a calm, relaxing suburban lake getaway. The cottage offers a lot, and yet because we're in a quiet neighborhood and live on the commons, the little red cottage is not a spot for parties, reunions, bigger groups, or people needing boat access.

Stay in your own private home which was recently remodeled and is located one block from Lake Phalen. The home has a full kitchen which is fully stocked. Breakfast and light snacks are included with your stay. The cushioned chairs and the loveseat have covers which are washed between each guest. The large patio located between the homes is a great place to relax and listen to the fountain or enjoy a meal.
