Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Taumarunui is central to a range of outdoor activities. There are mountain bike trails, and tramping trails. Situated between 2 rivers provides fishing and kayaking experiences. We are about 35 minutes from Mt. Ruapehu and Whakapapa ski village. We are located about 4 Ks from Taumarunui town which has a supermarket, restaurants and other places of interest. please note: microwave only for heating food

The Tree House with hot tub @ Wood Pigeon Lodge

The Tree House is set on a small hill in the tree tops, requiring being able to climb multiple steps for access through the bush. At the top you receive stunning views of the surrounding forest. This eco house generates its own electricity and is designed to capture the sun. It is a great base to do the Tongariro Crossing from.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Totally refurbished cottage in rural Kakahi is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Fresh clean air with the pristine Whakapapa river down the road past the glow worms. Kakahi has a night sky to die for and a country charm that is now very hard to find.
