La citada línea para en la estación de autobuses de la capital, en el Paseo de los Tilos, desde donde los viajeros pueden desplazarse hasta otras localidades de la provincia, así como a destinos de largo recorrido. La compañía CTSA-Portillo realiza el trayecto entre las terminales 1, 2 y 3 y la estación de autobuses de Marbella (Avda.Trapiche, s/n) cada 1 hora 45 minutos. En tren La línea C1 de Cercanías RENFE (www.renfe.es), que cubre el trayecto entre Málaga y Fuengirola, tiene parada frente a la terminal 2 (próximamente en la T3). Los trenes tardan 14 minutos desde el centro de Málaga al aeropuerto, y 45 minutos aproximadamente hasta su última parada, Fuengirola.
