Dan y Coed means 'under the trees'. Our cottage has nestled under the wooded hillside of Tan yr Allt for 200 years. The cottage is on the outskirts of Llanidloes, a 10 minute walk to town. We pride ourselves on guest satisfaction and the cottage is equipped to a high standard. We welcome all people and well behaved pets (downstairs). The Summerhouse Tower is a very special holiday-home-for-two set within the rolling Shropshire countryside. A Grade II listed tower, this unique, romantic retreat enjoys excellent views to the east, and views of the Shropshire Hills to the south and the west. The Tower, built circa 1607, was originally used as a banqueting house for entertaining dinner guests. Whilst the main house was destroyed by a fire, The Summer House is available for cosy stays throughout the year.

Montgomeryshire - the Paradise of Wales Montgomeryshire is known as "The Paradise of Wales", and this charming holiday cottage is located at its very heart. The area is beautiful, ranging from fertile farm land in the valleys to mountainous regions with lakes and forests. For visitors with time to walk and explore, the countryside is perfection. The nearby Hafren Forest, from which the Rivers Hafren (Severn), Wye and Rheidol rise, has many signposted walks.

Come and stay in one of our 2 lovely yurts or bring your friends and hire them both! Private location surrounded by nature and the sound of the river. The yurt is situated on an organic small holding in the beautiful Welsh valleys. You have to cross a foot bridge to get to it. Leave your car on one side of the river and walk to your accommodation. We can also provide fruit and veg as we run an organic market garden in the summer months.
