Eliza’s Cottage is a unique self-contained space. A miniature 1820’s Georgian cottage (expect to feel the stature of Gandalf). It has historical charm with modern conveniences. A 20min drive to MONA, 30min drive to Hobart, 2min walk to the popular shops on Stephen St, New Norfolk (Black Swan books/coffee, Miss Arthur, The Drill Hall), around the corner from the Agrarian Kitchen Eatery, and a short drive to wineries and Mount Field National Park. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Laneway hideaway

Our architect designed, garden roof cabin was built in 2020 to take in views across they valley to knocklofty. North facing the sun warms this house with the passive solar design maintaining a steady temperature. To complement this there is a wood fire for grey days and a sliding door and bifold windows for hot ones. Ply lining and exposed rafters give the house a cabin feel creating a retreat feeling. Different outdoor spaces provide great options to soak in the sun and neighbourhood.

Situated within 1.9km of the CBD and 2.8km to Salamanca waterfront, there is a bus stop at the end of the street. A microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and fridge are provided for your convenience, as well as a BBQ on your private deck.
