This unique place has a style all of its own. The Bothy is newly renovated and offers a peaceful, coastal getaway for 2. It is a twin bedded studio cottage with a separate bathroom and shower. There is a microwave, electric hob, toaster and kettle in the kitchen area. Dining table and chairs. Wall mounted TV and WiFi. There are several quiet beaches with wonderful coastlines to explore within walking distance. There is also the stunning St Medan Golf Course that welcomes visitors all year round.

What was once a chicken shed is now a sweet, cosy pet-friendly cottage perfect for families, adventurers, readers, writers, nature lovers. There are two bedrooms (one king size bed, one twin), a wood burning stove, lovely fresh characterful décor, books, a spacious kitchen, stunning views. You can explore beautiful beaches, great small towns, rolling hills or just enjoy looking out the window. You'll hear owls, see hares and red kites and get a taste of this undiscovered corner of Scotland.

Visitors to this wonderful area can stay within the grounds of Knockbrex Castle. The area is a walkers and biking paradise and just a short walk (5-10 minutes) to various beaches. Travel a little to sample the delights in the local area like the chocolate of the Cocoabean Company. Enjoy a walk to the local pubs for lunch at Gatehouse of Fleet or Borgue. Situated on a smallholding looking out to sea in a beautiful region on the Solway coast, secluded beaches and coves are only a 15 minute stroll and the artists town of Kirkcudbright a short drive away. We offer a 15% discount for weekly stays.

Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.
