For longer stays there are many activities in the area to choose from. Reception and electricity are very limited, expect low light/candle evenings. Your stay helps fund a reforestation youth development project on the property. You can plant your own tree or let us do it. We offer walks to the nearby indigenous forests and river.

Storms River Village, situated 11km from the Tsitsikamma National Park, is the adventure capital of Tsitsikamma and forms part of South Africa’s famous Garden Route. The unique self-catering Tin House is situated in the garden of a private residence with gate access and on-site parking. You can reach us on a 36 km stretch of scenic gravel road to come and enjoy the beauty and sounds of nature while staying in this unique off the grid place in the Kouga Baviaans mountain wilderness area. For winter the cottage is equipped with electric blankets, a gas heater as well as an indoor fireplace with a good supply of wood and more available to buy should you run out. Beautiful House on canals

Our beautiful canal-side home away from home. This family friendly home is an oasis of peace and relaxation on the stunning St Francis Bay canals. Please note we recently renovated and the house no longer has a thatch roof. It’s now a modern shingle roof with aluminum windows and doors. We have updated some photos with the new roof and the white internal ceilings.

A large bright upstairs room above a double garage with a private balcony. The room looks out over trees and the garden. Private, equipped, self-catering with a small kitchen area. It’s a short walk to the Krom river. Guests have access to the garden, jetty and canal. There is a canoe to use. We live in the main house a few metres away.

Suikerbossie Mountain Cabin

Soak up the peace and quietness while enjoying the true beauty that nature has to offer. The cabin was completed just before the lockdown. The building of the cabin was started by my husband and completed only 2 years later in remembrance of him.
