Across the street from the Fairgrounds Race Course (Jazz Fest), corner market, Catty Shack (best tacos in NOLA), Jockey’s Pub (great neighborhood bar), and Toast Fairgrounds (amazing breakfast spot). ½ mile walk or ride to Liuzza's by the track, Swirl wine shop, Fair grinds coffee shop, Café Degas, Lola, Santa Fe Restaurant (best margaritas in town), Terranova Market and Conseco’s Market. You will have access to your private courtyard and the entire suite. We will be available for most guest check-ins and welcome you to hang with us on our porch under the large oak tree with a cool beverage. There are so many wonderful places in this city and we enjoy making recommendations based on your interests. The suite is situated across the street from the Fairgrounds Race Course, where Jazz Fest is held, the corner market, and Catty Shack, which has the best tacos in NOLA. The neighborhood is close to the French Quarter and City Park. Free street parking. There are always spaces available except during Jazz Fest. During this time, you can park in our driveway. Walk to Magazine Street, the St. Charles streetcar, coffee shops, and the beautiful homes of the Garden District. Close to the French Quarter, but tucked away from the noise. City bus system close by, St Charles Streetcar within walking distance and only $7-$9 by Uber or Lyft into the center of the city. Parking outside right in front of the house. (Of course, on occasion, you may have to park a couple spots away, however it's rarely a problem to park right in front). Stylish Guesthouse in Historic Building near Audubon Park

The interior design and furnishing is modern, but accent walls and other features are constructed of original materials. The guest house has a full kitchen and includes a Keurig coffee maker with pods. The living room has a 55 inch TV and the bedroom has a 32 inch TV. The queen sized bed is a 12 inch memory foam mattress - very comfortable. The Guest House has central air and heat. The bathroom has a lovely glass tile shower. Ceiling height peaks at 13 feet. The Guest House is located in rear of the property. The neighborhood is very safe and the Guest House is particularly safe and secure. I live in the main house and will be available to assist with guest needs. The guesthouse is tucked away behind a gorgeous "shotgun" house and is located in one of the city's most desirable neighborhoods. An urban walker's paradise, it's steps from Magazine Street with its great restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. The Magazine Street bus is accessible steps from the Guest House. The St. Charles Street car line is a 10 minute walk down State Street. The neighborhood is quite walkable and bike friendly. Please take a look at my house manual. It has many tips for navigating the house and the neighborhood. There is plenty of free parking on the street but no off-street parking.
