John Scott is one of NZ’s premier architects renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we’re delighted to share it with the Air BnB community. A self contained wing of our home sits in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We’re a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

Take a 5min stroll to our popular bar/restaurant or grab a takeaway and finish the evening with a soak in the hot pool.

Lake & Mountain views. 10 min stroll down hill to the lake/2 mile bay. 5 minute walk to local dairy/shop. 7 minute drive to centre to main town centre. Max guests is 4 including children & infants. Sorry - airbnb settings do not allow us to specify this in guest number settings, they only let us exclude children completely.

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Great location, great shower, great beds!

I’m so happy to be able to share my wonderful home with others and supplement my pension 😀 The AirBnb rooms are separate from my part of the home. There’s 2 rooms and a bathroom. The bedroom has a queen double bed. The lounge has a king double bed and couch with a tv, a microwave, toaster, jug and fridge. It is quite roomy 6x4 mtrs. There is a small step up to the shower so take care coming out of it. You will enjoy beautiful Taupo. 😎
