Relax with the whole family on this peaceful working farm. Enjoy the farm animals and running stream in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. Tour the Blue Ridge Parkway or Creeper Trail. Historic Wythe County, Wohlfahrt Theatre, Abingdon, Barter Theatre, Big Walker Lookout Shot Tower, Draper Mercantile and so much more. Get unplugged, no distracting internet. Fish in the pond or make smores at the firepit. Experience the farm with optional homegrown meals/tours. A little piece of heaven.

Ruby's Rest

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

Featuring one queen size bed, a full sized futon, a full size couch & a fold out twin size bed in the living room, a washer & dryer, all kitchen appliances, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you’ll need to stay in and cook. Off street parking available.

Great mountain view! Dongola Cabin

Up on the Laurel’s Dongola Cabin is a secluded, compact 384 square foot cabin designed to be a place for recreating, writing, relaxing and star-gazing. It sits on the south side of Iron Mountain in the Jefferson National Forest’s Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and takes in the scenic views of Whitetop Mountain and Mount Rogers. Its proximity to sites and towns of middle Appalachia, along with its fresh water, fresh air and relaxed pace make our cabin a lovely spot to visit.

Campside Cottage

Campside Cottage--a vacation retreat located across from Camp Burson at the entrance of Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Virginia. Relax around the campfire, hike or bike the many trails. Lounge on the beach with a good book, or cast your line to catch a big one! Enjoy the beautiful views of the Appalachian mountains while paddleboarding or kayaking Hungry Mother Lake. Don't forget to go shopping or sample the restaurants of America's Coolest Hometown! Enjoy your stay!

The Bluebird and Finch Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space looking out into the pasture and woodlands at deer passing through, cows looking in and other wildlife. And there really is quite a lot of bluebirds and finch to see in the spring and summer! Expect the coziness of the fireplace to wrap around you in the cool of the fall and snow of the winter. New construction. 20 minutes to Grayson Highlands, kayaking and Virginia Creeper bike trail also nearby!

Valley View Cabin

You will relax and reconnect in this beautiful valley nestled in the Southwest Virginia mountains. Sit on the porch and soak up those mountain views. Relax in the hot tub and count the stars. Reconnect with your spouse as you unplug from the hustle and bustle. Rest, laugh, enjoy! The cabin is located on a working family farm. You can purchase beef, pork, and chicken to cook while you’re here or bring a cooler and take some home.

Briar Run Cabin near Grayson Highlands Park

Explore the creek, relax in the sauna, and enjoy the privacy of a secluded, two-acre tract adjoining the Jefferson National Forest, near Grayson Highlands’ wild ponies and White Top’s famed Creeper Trail. Bring your slingshots, sit on boulders, and warm yourself by one of two natural-stone fire pits. Help yourself to Starlink Wi-Fi and Roku to stream your favorite shows. This is one of the most untouched areas in America.
