‘Curlew' is on East beach in the lovely Devon village of Branscombe. It has a unique position right on the beach on a raised elevation, throw open the balcony doors and you are looking out onto the ever changing sea and stunning coastline which is a World Heritage site and area of outstanding natural beauty. Two fine pubs supplying excellent food and locally brewed ales in the village and amazing cliff path walks East or West. Now a bookable sauna on the beach and free parking can be arranged

We are situated perfectly within walking distance of the South West Coast path to explore the picturesque coast on foot.

The Shippon is a meticulously converted cow barn with heated, polished concrete floors, gently curving deep green walls, hand-built kitchen, warmly lit reading nooks, & natural materials. This lovely spacious cottage is adjacent to the owner's house, set in 3 acres of gardens and beautiful countryside in the heart of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a great base for walking, cycling, touring, shopping, eating and drinking ...and curling up in front of the log fire. Sidbury village is a 20 min walk away. And Sidmouth, on the Jurassic Coast, is just a 4 mile drive. A few days at Filcombe will leave you relaxed, refreshed and keen to come back!

The Pool House

Set within the grounds of our old rectory, The Pool House provides a wonderful retreat for those looking to escape to the country whilst being a short drive from the seaside town of Sidmouth and nearby city of Exeter. The Pool House has been renovated to a high specification providing spacious contemporary accommodation with use of heated outdoor swimming pool (mid May to mid September) during the day, and exclusive use of the courtyard in the evening. We also provide fast WiFi.

Set within your own private garden in the grounds of our farmhouse, the shepherd's hut provides an ideal countryside spot. The garden is fully fenced/walled so secure for dogs. Inside there is underfloor heating, so is warm and cosy. Close to the River Otter, with beautiful walks along the river and through ancient woodland, plus the East Devon Footpath passing along the lane outside. There are local pubs to walk to and just a 10 minute drive from the seaside town of Sidmouth.
