Ultimate in privacy, yet two minutes from downtown Frankfort! This cabin-style home (think Gatlinburg!) sits on three wooded acres. Long, rambling decks on three sides (one covered, one fully screened, one open air). Our adjacent farm surrounds the property, making it even more private. This home sits high on a bluff above downtown Frankfort & the Kentucky River (our farm borders on the river). Just three miles to Buffalo Trace Distillery (if you could fly, it's way closer than that!)

A tranquil cottage nestled in the lush countryside and situated right along the Bourbon Trail, this completely renovated rare find is located center of Lawrenceburg, Frankfort and Shelbyville and only 12 min to I-64. With five main bourbon distilleries just 30 min, local wineries within a stone's throw, Churchill Downs and Keeneland Racecourse equidistant and Taylorsville Lake nearby there is little left to be desired when staying here. This is the perfect spot to relax with family and friends.

Cottage located in the country. Enjoy amazing views from a covered front porch as you rock in comfortable rocking chairs. Fully furnished and beautifully decorated to make your stay comfortable and delightful. Memory foam mattresses for wonderful sleep and a kitchen for cooking if desired. Pool is behind owners residence and is shared with owners family and possibly 2 additional people June-Sept. We have recently also installed a Tesla High Powered Wall Charger w/60amps. Maintaining the industrial feel of an authentic caboose, while bringing in the warmth of handcrafted woodwork design, the Caboose on the Farm creates a unique experience like no other! Nestled in the heart of Kentucky's Bluegrass region, The Dew Drop In, (newly constructed in 2018) is located on Saxony Farm, a working Thoroughbred horse farm, family-owned and operated for over 50 years. More than just a place to rest your head, guests will experience a home-away-from-home location, & enjoy the peace and quiet of farm life, all within striking distance of downtown Lexington, KY's Bourbon Trail, locally-owned restaurants, shops and numerous family-friendly activities.

Secluded and private yet still close to stores, restaurants and many tourist attractions such as major distilleries and wineries. Four Roses, Wild Turkey, Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace are just a short drive away.

Handcrafted Rustic Cabin on the Bourbon Trail

The cabin has been entirely built by the owner, Doris, (with help from family and friends) from reclaimed and local salvaged materials. Located on a beautiful Kentucky Scenic byway, on a working farm, the cabin is only 15 minutes from Wild Turkey Distillery, the town of Versailles , golf courses, dining, shopping, wineries and other major distilleries. 35 minutes from Keeneland race course, downtown Lexington, UK, Rupp Arena, the Horse Park and more .
