John Jensen, a Danish engineer / bricklayer designed our wonderful castle with his family in the 70's. We've modernized and renovated the entire building to make it as comfortable as possible. At Hillwinds House, it’s all about taking a moment to disconnect from your busy life and reconnect with nature. Build a fire, read a book, brew some coffee, sweat in the sauna, soak in the hot tub (seasonally), prepare a nourishing meal, and watch the sun set over the valley in the west. We are excited to share our Alberta landscape with its beautiful sky, empty fields, and close up nature details. The 5 acres are filled with wildflowers, look closely and take a moment to enjoy.

The Lumberjack Cabin

Cozy up in this lumberjack-themed cabin with rustic wood paneling, plaid accents, and vintage logging décor for the perfect backwoods vibe. Sleeps 2 with 1 queen bed, complete with linens, towels, AC, fan, mini fridge, fireplace, and TV. Guests receive scan card access to a private bathroom with heated floors. Unwind in our hillbilly-style wood-burning hot tub (shared with one cabin), relax in the shared sauna, or refresh in the cold plunge at Prairie Junction RV Resort.

Experience the farm while staying in our 96 sq.ft. cozy, elegant cottage, aptly named "The Rose"! Located on a small farm where we raise livestock and fresh produce.
