Short distance to Air Museum and Elvington Airfield (parking for York University open days). Elvington has a shop, pub and gastro pub in neighbouring village. PLEASE NOTE long, dark, uneven path to access cottage, not suitable for elderly/mobility issues.

The cottage is a Grade II listed barn conversion offering a welcoming base for your stay. Heating is provided by a biomass boiler, so very eco friendly. There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

The village is well served with a bakery, bistro, village store, pub, beauty and hair salon and pharmacy.
