The train station is 10 mins walk away and it's just 40mins to Edinburgh St Andrews can also be reached by train/bus connection. Shops, cafes etc are just 150m away. There are many good and varied restaurants and cafes in Dunfermline, three miles away, however if you want to "eat in", the kitchen does have a microwave and a toaster, so that it is possible to make a simple, straightforward meal.
