The Tiny (off grid) House on Wai Māhanga Farm

Your Air Conditioned accoms are a small Off Grid Tiny Home. It is situated in Taumārere just out of Kawakawa on SH11 on the way to Paihia on our working Regenerative Farm. Specifically built for couples to enjoy the privacy and beautiful farm views over green paddocks to the Cycleway and Vintage Railway. Our tiny house is intimate, open plan, with a small kitchen incl a double gas stovetop and a wee fridge/freezer. Check out our waterhole, walk with the cows, relax and enjoy! Paihia 17min drive

Very spacious 2 bedroom cottage solely for guests use (opened Jan 2023) Open plan lounge, dining, kitchenette area Jug, toaster, microwave, toasted sandwich machine, electric frypan, fridge/freezer, air fryer, rice cooker. Bedding includes 1 x electric adjustable king single bed. Total of 4 beds plus rollaway bed.. Dargaville township 10-15 min walk. Suitable single, couples, family, business guests. Dairy - 7 days and Takeaways 5 days. Kai Iwi Lakes 20mins approx. Stay 1 night or longer.

This retreat offers an experience in comfort & sustainability. You will be 5 to 15 km from some of NZ's great expansive white sandy beaches, stunning walks, cafes & outdoor pursuits. Our lovely 1920s Bach is a one-minute walk from the beach which is over 100kms long. With quirky character & few mod-cons this is a place to be away from the TV, rest up & enjoy stunning nature on the doorstep. We have kept as many original features as possible, so you get to experience a traditional Kiwi holiday - with a few added comforts. We are dog friendly - check the house rules. Fibre WIFI very efficient. BBQ available. Maximum guest number is 3 including children/infants/babies.

We enjoy guests who appreciate the west coast and what its got to offer. Go no further in booking our bach if you cant handle sand, bugs, a little dust and cobwebs and buying toilet paper if it runs out. This 1940's reno bach is a still a WIP but has a new kitchen, toilet/bathrm, 3 bedrooms, ultrafast WIFI/Smart TV.

Peaceful and private, you can lounge on the bean bags on the deck, or watch the tui as you soak in the bath. Native bush runs down to an estuary outside your floor to ceiling windows. Sheep, dogs, ducks and birdlife share the property with you as well as the occassional peacock harem.
