Perfectly located for exploring Skye’s dramatic landscapes, coastline, and scenic walks, it’s an ideal base to unwind, enjoy quiet evenings, and experience the magic of island life. Note that we have no facilities for children.

Red Mountain Garden Cottage (Self Catering)

Sorry - Children over 9 only. Red Mountain Cottage is beautifully and quietly situated on the edge of Carbost village, with stunning views overlooking Loch Harport and towards the Cuillin Mountains. This is a small, modern, but very well appointed cottage/cabin has been lovingly created to a high specification, including handmade beds and sills & a feature wall. The cottage sleeps 3, but is ideal for couples seeking a romantic break, as well as for sight-seeing, walking and climbing.

Situated in the idyllic township of Carbost, the Fairy Pools and Talisker Distillery are within a 10 minute drive with Portree just 25 minutes away. From the house, you can take a lovely coastal walk along the shores of Loch Harport. There's lots of places to eat nearby, including Café Cùil, The Old Inn & the Oyster Shed. Or enjoy a cosy night in beside the new wood burning stove!

I designed and built the house myself which is why it has a personal feel. it manages to be spacious and at the same time cosy. just a few minutes drive from Carbost with the "Old Inn" with its restaurant ,bar and trad music nights , the famous Talisker distillery is now complemented by “The three chimneys at Talisker “ and the coffee shop completes the village .

Norskye Bothy

Norskye Bothy is a Scandi-Scot inspired hideaway in the heart of the Isle of Skye. Our architecturally designed eco cabin sleeps up to two people, with uninterrupted hill and loch views. The cabin features an open plan living, kitchen and dining space with a separate king size bedroom and shower room. We are centrally located, only 5 miles from Portree. To fully experience what Skye has to offer we recommend a stay of at least 3 nights.

A combined living/bedroom/kitchen area provides: a comfortable KS bed, table with 2 chairs , large cupboard, kitchenette containing: fridge/freezer, dishwasher, combi microwave/grill, airfryer and toastie maker. Additionally there is a walk in wet room and a shed for boots and bikes. Outdoor seating is provided.

Fortanach Seachd is self contained apartment with small galley kitchen and living/dinning room a double room and a single room (with small double bed if you want extra guest to share in single room it will be cosy, and let me know just for fire regulations) and w/c with shower (no bath!) A great location for photography,hill walking,climbing and sightseeing like the Fairy Pools and Talisker Distillery.
