The Cottage

Unplug in this peaceful little getaway. Nestled in the backyard of our little hobby farm near the Wood River, you will be able to visit our alpacas, goat, or honey bees. Sit and relax on the porch, or stroll through the pasture or neighborhood. In many ways, the cottage resembles a tiny house with a small bathroom & shower, kitchen sink, microwave, induction hot plate, coffee maker, plates, glasses & utensils. Many of the restaurants & shopping amenities are located on the north end of Kearney.

It offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a tub/shower, a fully furnished kitchen, dining room and a large fenced in backyard. The bedrooms offer sleeping for 4 with 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies and a Keurig coffee machine with several options for you to choose from. Full use of the home, fenced in back yard and a washer/dryer for your convenience.

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination! Come stay in our beautiful, new,“Bunkhouse”. She boasts sleeping accommodations for 8 people, a complete full kitchen, a gas fireplace in the Great Room, and a washer and dryer in the bathroom. In addition you may bring your horse and feed to our corral. For an additional $25 you may ride the trails on our back 400. We also have a beautiful swim spa on the premises for your use. We are a little out of town…but worth it!

The Nest

The Nest is an upstairs mini apartment in a building on a working bison ranch. The decor is birds, flowers, nature. The windows look out over the pastures. The bathroom features a shower and small clothes washer. The kitchenette area includes hot drink dispenser, microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge. A cot and portable crib are available on request. Breakfast snacks and coffee are included in the room rate. Covid concerns: you will be the only occupants in the building overnight.

Come explore the great outdoors when you stay at the river house and enjoy the quiet as you look over the South Loup River Valley. There is river access for all kinds of water fun from tubing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. What started out as hobby, paired with Gothenburg's need for affordable lodging, has blossomed into a way for us to raise a little extra money for our daughters college fund. We are located just four miles from top ranked Wild Horse Golf Club, two blocks from Highway 30, one mile from Interstate 80, and three blocks from historic downtown.

It's very close to downtown, only takes about 3-5 minutes to restaurants, banks and shopping centers.
