In summer, your private deck is perfect for watching eagles, loons, ducks, swans and fish while enjoying cocktails or BBQ. For the lake, use a stand up paddle board or canoe from our stash. Winter? bring your own skiis for the groomed trail on the lake. A neatly appointed kitchenette gets you through the basics. Use the grill for bigger meals. Close to the Seward Harbor and on the road to Exit Glacier, we are nearby all of the action while still amidst wildlife and incredibly scenery. Our plush beds, comfy sofa, fully stocked kitchen, & custom shower make the indoors super comfortable; while our lounge chairs, picnic table, grill & fire pit will help you take in Alaska's beauty.

Salmon Landing- Kenai Riverside

Enjoy the magic of the upper Kenai River on your own acre of land on the rivers edge. In your own private cabin, indulge in the beauty of the river life surrounded by towering mountains, Bald Eagles, Sockeye and Silver Salmon, Rainbow Trout, the occasional bear, moose and mountain goat, and the commonly seen rafts and drift boats floating by. In this area, you will enjoy fishing, kayaking, drifting, hiking, mountain biking, or just relaxing enjoying the view by an indoor or outdoor fire.

Spruce Bear Cabin

Discover the charm and comfort of Spruce Bear Cabin, a newly built, custom-designed getaway completed in May 2025 by its owners, Marques and Teal. The cabin features unique finishes throughout, including wood trim milled from trees found right on the property. Set on 10 private acres just outside Moose Pass, the cabin offers mountain views from every window. Keep an eye out for black bears and mountain goats, often seen roaming the surrounding mountainside during the summer.

We are not your average getaway. Hidden in the rainforest canopy, spend the afternoon grilling on the porch while watching the eagles fly to and from their nest above the yurt. When your ready to wind down listen to the owls hoot around the fire ring while watching the sunset from exit glacier. A labor of love as my first home, I hope you get a slice of the serenity that comes with unplugging in this magical spot. If you’re lucky you’ll wake up to a moose or two in the pond.

Located just 4 miles outside of the town of Seward you will have access to nature as well as the local town amenities.

Rustic Roots Cabins offers 7 nightly units. Our Seaside Indigo Cabin is nested right on the waterfront, with amazing views of Resurrection Bay. This craftsman cabin is rustic and has the feel of a modern houseboat at high tide. The cabin is quaint and perfect for 2 guests. It includes an en-suite bathroom, queen-size bed, sitting area, kitchenette, outdoor deck with BBQ, firepit ring, and private beach access.
