In Hovden there is little light pollution and it provides good opportunities to see the northern lights in the period August to March. The midnight sun lasts from mid-May to mid-July, a few weeks before and after this period the nights are as bright as the days.

Welcome to our peaceful accommodation in the countryside with a balcony and beautiful views of the Lofoten mountains, the sea, the northern lights and the midnight sun. Own apartment on the 2nd floor in the garage with a balcony, bathroom, combined kitchen and living room with a double bed for two people, a sofa bed for two people and two extra guest beds. There is also a home cinema system. Short drive to Lofoten, moose safari, reindeer farm, whale watching and other nature experiences.

Unlimited fishing and hiking potential. 35 minutes drive from airport & Harstad, 2.5 hours from Lofoten. Road access and free parking by the cabin. 10 minutes drive to grocery store & the sea. In this modern residence, you can seek peace and relax in a beautiful landscape. It is located rurally at the end of Eidsfjorden in Vesterålen, about 15 km from the center of Sortland. Suitable as a starting point for trips to Øksnes, Andøya, Hadsel and Lofoten. There are also great hiking/summit ski areas right outside the house. The area is rich in sea eagles and there is a high probability that you will be able to spot one. You can also rent a boat for fishing in the fjord.

House of Hulda - a place for rest and inspiration.

A little house off the beaten track, between mountain and ocean. It has everything you need for a peaceful retreat and a chance to recharge in nature’s embrace. Built after the war by a woman named Hulda, it’s still known to the locals as “Hulda-huset.” My husband and I spent a year renovating it with local materials, honouring its original design. Today, it also serves as an Artist Residency, with artworks from past and future guests gradually filling its walls.

Gåsøya 4 er hytta vår som ligger idyllisk til ved vannkanten på Gåsøya om lag midt på Bleiksvatnet. Den har plass til fire gjester. To minutter å kjøre fra parkeringsplassen opp til den kjente fjelltoppen Måtind. Hytta har innlagt vann og strøm, gang, to soverom, toalettrom med dusj, stue og kjøkken. Gapahuken ligger helt i vannkanten. Båtnaustet som ligger mellom gapahuken og hytta, er utstyrt med benker og bord og egner seg godt som oppholdsrom.
