Decorated to the highest specification, The Chocolate-Box features a roll-top bathtub, bespoke kitchen, cosy fireplace and a wonderful old oak dining table, a mahogany writing desk and sun-trap courtyard.

The cottage is in wonderful Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast. It's cosy and comfortable, very near the sea, shops, pubs and restaurants. There are two bedrooms with double beds - one accessed by some quite steep steps. There is another bedroom with a single bed - the bathroom and top bedroom are accessed via this room. To save costs, guests are required to bring their own linen and towels and tidy before they leave. We provide duvets, pillows and blankets. Dogs are welcome.

This iconic and charming property is believed to be one of the oldest in Aldeburgh and is thought to date back to the 18th century. The property has distinctive and unusual stone steps leading to a high level front door – the possible entrance for the Custom office – with storage below, perhaps for contraband.
