Great spot to relax
After a great day of fishing we decided to unwind with good beer and food. The bar was full but our service was still great. Samples of beer, a few apps and a great burger for lunch. Definitely recommend for a casual spot to eat

We had no idea what this museum was about so were pleasantly surprised to find a great exhibit about the building of the bridges that finally connected all of the pieces of the Oregon Coast Highway in the 1930s. We've driven over those bridges for 25 years, admiring their shapes and Art Deco design, but never knew much about them. This museum is worth a stop, and bring your binoculars to look at birds on the bay.

We've driven over those bridges for 25 years, admiring their shapes and Art Deco design, but never knew much about them. This museum is worth a stop, and bring your binoculars to look at birds on the bay.

More than just a candy store!
Whenever we go to the beach we try to stop at a candy store. We love sea foam and fudge, so we decided to try this place. First, we loved the name! And the owners were very friendly -- explaining that they made their own chocolates right there. And the sea foam was some of the best we have ever had. We also enjoyed their turtles, peanut butter fudge, salted caramel and licorice dogs. There were also lots of other interesting things in the store.

This center is full of the history of our little Waldport. Pictures galore and lots of info about how and why Waldport has survived through the years. Fishing and lumber industry and people who love the beach combine to give this little city its flavor. Also pictures of the old bridge and when they blew it up to make way for the new beautiful bridge. A ' must see
' if you come to this southern coast town. Our grandson loved building with the blocks they provided, to try his balancing skills. He loved the pictures too.

Visited at Night
This park was less than a mile from the house we rented. Huge, long, wide beach which was very clean. Lots of shells, birds (gulls, herons, even an eagle), and sea lion viewing. Looked like the campground was full due to this being Eclipse Week. I visited on a clear night and got a picture of the Milky Way.

This park was less than a mile from the house we rented. Huge, long, wide beach which was very clean. Lots of shells, birds (gulls, herons, even an eagle), and sea lion viewing. Looked like the campground was full due to this being Eclipse Week. I visited on a clear night and got a picture of the Milky Way.

We stopped today. This is a nice, nice park. Apparently this is a place for crabbing. It is also a place for fishing. There is a splendid small beach area which is perfect for families. There are picnic tables and a good number of benches. And, all with a view of the beautiful Alsea Bay and the Alsea Bay Bridge.
Great hike with kids
We live close to this trail and walk it frequently. My kids and I love it! There are a few benches to be found if you need a rest. No shortage of flora and fauna.

Great 9-hole golf course
This Waldport course is lovely with lots of wide rolling fairways making the play good for duffers and more advanced alike. The staff is friendly. There is a small lunch counter with outside tables with views of the first and ninth holes.

Fun as well as Educational
Visited without kids in tow. Lots of exhibits are designed for maximum enjoyment of the little guys, but it was equally fun and educational for us adults. The docents at the different exhibits added a lot of value, answering questions and sharing information about the different critters. I especially enjoyed the bird enclosure, where they had Puffins from Alaska (confiscated from illegal owners), Auks, & Pigeon Guillemot, to name three. The surround aquarium tank (you're in a glass tunnel) was really fun. Sharks, manta rays were two of the interesting critters in that one tank. Go, it's fun and educational! How can you miss with that? Also got discount with AAA
